This all makes a lot of sense but I still do not buy it wholly. It seems to me that any diet after a long time becomes 'boring'.
Thus it may not be the diet itself which is at fault but rather fickle, changeable, variable human nature which leads us after being satisfied in one way to hunger after new foods and new ways of satisfaction.
So I myself believe that there is no single diet or regimen which most people will simply adopt , live by, and be healthy with for the rest of their lives.
Nonetheless this book is a fine guide to better health through better eating and exercise. It has many good tips on how to improve our health.
