Each section of the book deals with being healthy.Since I am in my forties I have taken an interest in my heart and this book is just what the Dr. ordered.
Also if you ever wanted to know what the label is telling you on the food you purchase this book breaks it down for you.
The fitness section is not all about getting pumped though it is an option.What I found most useful was the sliding scale of activity and how it effects weight loss
The biggest surprise to me was the section on stress.All I can say is, buy the book just for this section alone.
And lastly,what would a book on a proper diet be without, recipes.I had heard of the Mediterranean diet before and when Dr. Rumberger showed me the studies it really made me think it was for the best.For most of the food it is a question of how it is prepared and what you serve with it.chicken is chicken, beef is beef,and fish is fish. Just don't eat to much of it and don't serve it with a big side of processed mac and cheese, and a salad drenched in ranch.
The book is the most informative book I have read.I recommend it for everyone not just overweight people but everyone.
