Stop Trying To Lose Weight-You're Making Yourself Fatter: The Way to a Better Body is Not What You Think [Paperback] Review

Stop Trying To Lose Weight-You're Making Yourself Fatter: The Way to a Better Body is Not What You Think [Paperback]In the interest of full disclosure before the review...I have known Brian for over 15 years. It is my firm belief that there are few people more knowledgeable than Brian Murray when it comes to exercise. We have worked together as trainers. There is no one I would trust more.

Stop Trying to Lose weight is a terrific book. Brian's method is foolproof!

We watched as our son went from 170lbs to 225 lbs of solid muscle while reducing his bodyfat dramatically (2007 Feb-May) while a senior in high school. Okay... Mom called to make sure that he had actually shown up for his exercise. He was home that quickly. That son now says "Mom, you know that Brian has the the answer. Why do you continue to do it the hard way?". He will never exercise with anyone else.

My husband says Stop Trying to Lose Weight is "as if Brian is here for a visit". He has used Brian's method of true exercise for years. He still plays ice hockey with "kids" younger than our youngest child (now 21 and mentioned above). My husband will 67 in a few weeks!

Brian has the answer. It is not what you have been led to believe by the fitness and diet industries.

Long overdue, easy to comprehend, accurate, honest information in Stop Trying to Lose Weight.

Product Description:
How many times have you looked admiringly at someone in great shape and thought to yourself, "Wow, she has nice weight?" I bet never. You don't notice someone's weight. You notice bright eyes, healthy skin, muscle tone, pleasing shape, and the absence of excess fat. In other words, you notice characteristics that are attractive. Your weight is not all that important to you. How do I know? Because no woman would care if she weighed 300 pounds if she were a firm and shapely size two. No man would care if he weighed 300 pounds if he had a 29-inch waist and chiseled abdominal muscles. So what are you really saying when you say, "I want to lose weight?" I bet that you are really saying, "I want to look attractive. I want to feel good about myself. I want to feel healthy, strong and confident; and I don't want to be fat." The problem is, simply losing body weight will not get you there. The title of this book is deliberately deceptive. Initially you may have thought, "What do you mean stop trying to lose weight? Have you seen me?" Yes, I have seen you, and if you have too much fat on your body of course I want you to lose weight, but I want you to lose the right kind of weight. Yes, there is a distinction. Not all weight loss is created equal. It can be good or bad, and the path that leads to not only the look you really want, but also the life you want, just may be the one less traveled. Getting on that path requires that you think differently.
