After reading the Healthy Eating & Weight Management Guide, I realized that losing weight would not mean starving, just making the correct choices of food to eat.Being a chef for over 30 years I did not pay attention to the calories of food. We are taught as chefs to prepare food that is tasty and wonderful.We as chefs should produce well balanced nutritional low caloric food plates.
Knowing that now, I can eat much more food with a lower caloric value and feel full.This was the key to my success.I just picked the correct food items and took away the high caloric ingredients I was using to prepare food. Dorene's book has changed my life.
