When I found The 10-Day Dream Diet I was curious how new or different it was from the first 3PM book.The new book takes aim at the toughest parts of changing your body and life - persuading yourself to take the first steps, actually taking those steps, and then sticking with it. This book lays out a clear blueprint for getting slim and fit. The Dream Diet is also very friendly and entertaining to read.I really enjoyed the witty and insightful "Male Musings" and Isabelle discourses.
The book begins with a motivating story; a bit of research on the strong link between being overweight and getting cancer, dementia, and other diseases; and then explains the basis for the 3PM Secret lifestyle.The Diet itself is laid out for each of the 10 days and can be easily followed.Each day has a menu, a few exercises, and a "dream" question (this is where the life-changing part comes in - as the pounds fall off, you are beginning a journey into the future you really want).
Following the diet, you learn what to do going forward.The book also has an entertaining though informative chapter by two people (Isabelle and Trevor) on top of an Alaska mountain discussing nutrition wisdom from various cultures, which I really enjoyed.There are also FAQs, a shopping list, and a plan to help you continue your success.
I was fat most of my life and this lifestyle is the "magic" fix I had searched for.The 10-Day Dream Diet is not only a creative book you will enjoy reading, but, as I can testify, will open the door to a healthy, slim body and finding the life you wish for.
